They're my school  •  Program Manager II, Microsoft. Previously Release Manager, Microsoft. University of Michigan grad.
Hunger - Vijay is always aspiring to take on greater challenges. While in school, he started founded his own start-up called Lucidity that d ... esigned 3d animation models. Lucidity was hired by the Indian American Student Association at the University of Michigan, the largest student run organization in North America to design the logo for their largest event of the year. Intelligent - Vijay managed a full coursework load in college while also starting his own startup. He had always been an exceptional student in college. Following college, he was picked up by Microsoft. After working at Microsoft for a year, Vijay had discussed his ambitions of starting his own company some day and thus he wanted to move to a smaller company where he would be able to take on greater challenges that prepared him for his entrepreneurial journey. Vijay joined F5 and continued demonstrating his worth and received three promotions in three years, which is considerably noteworthy at F5, from what I hear. Vijay moved to the Bay Area a few months back to work for Okta, a 400 person start up in downtown SF, as a Staff Engineer. Having seen Vijay grow at close quarters, I am confident that he will very soon achieve his goal of starting his own company. Risk Taker - Vijay was comfortably poised at F5 having received several promotions and could have continued that way. I have spoken to a few of his co-workers and they all liked him and claimed that he was well on his way to taking on a managerial position soon. However, Vijay wanted something bigger and greater, he had tall ambitions and he knew the only way to achieve those ambitions would be to move to the Bay Area, the mecca of entrepreneurship and startups. That said, he was aware that this move could backfire as he may not achieve the same level of success as what he had at F5. Despite that, he decided to pursue his ambition and move to the Bay Area, which he wouldn't have done had he not been a Risk Taker.

His unique perspective and resourcefulness have h ... elped us to overcome complex engineering challenges more than once. He has in-depth experience in a variety of technical areas providing him with the versatility needed in any entrepreneurial pursuits. In additional to technically competent, Vijay is very easy to work with. He has an open personality that makes discussing new ideas with him a constructive activities which usually result in even more ideas. As such, Vijay displays the social competence needed in someone that is expected to lead a company. Overall, Vijay is a well rounded individual with a strong technical background.
