Ned Kenney
We worked together  •  CEO/Founder of Byway Endeavors, Inc. - creating the biggest/best media institution of the mobile age, focusing specifically on comedy.
Ned is an extremely passionate and hard-working individual. We worked together at WebMD, where our group was situated in between almost ever ... y group in the company - sales, marketing, executive management, delivery, and operations. By the nature of that org structure, Ned was forced to work cross-functionally with all of these different teams. It requires a personality that is flexible, persuasive yet not overbearing, creative, and likable. Ned is all of these things. To be able to exert influence over people over whom you have no positional authority is not an easy thing. In fact, I believe it is an exceptional skill that few people have. Ned is one of them. A lot of these characteristics are innate in Ned, but he also has exceptional experience from his time working at WebMD, one of the oldest and most resilient digital businesses. This combination of personality plus experience will serve Ned well as an entrepreneur. On the personal side, Ned and I have become close friends since working together, and he has exhibited several characteristics that I also believe will make him a great entrepreneur. He is loyal, thoughtful, and naturally skilled at bringing people together. He is a leader among his friends, an organizer but also a motivator, and he is well-liked by many. I have no doubt that Ned will be a fantastic CEO, one who can network within the tech community and be a natural and successful fundraiser for his venture.
