Key Accomplishments

I'm an early investor in social media, helping launch and build Houseparty.com as the world's first “people-powered” brand-activation network. I founded Meitimedia in 2003 to provide strategic insights and give me a way to talk about "agile commerce" my own term for the way goods will be bought & sold in the future.

Recently I was EIR at American Express writing their innovation strategy and investment thesis for growth on digital platforms that add value to buyers and sellers using online, offline, social, mobile and geo location.

I'm a veteran of Time Warner, had tons of jobs including president of a division focused on monetizing content, business insights and customer behavior data (Web 1.0, yes I'm that old!)

Today I live in a loft in Belltown, training to summit Mt. Ranier and committed to build a 'black swan' that disrupts the way groceries are bought & sold -- which makes this a very exciting time in my life.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

I've been solving business problems creatively for many years, leading teams in strategic capacities as well as line roles like advertising sales and business dev.

Over the years I've developed relationships with entrepreneurs and key decision-makers at companies in the US, Europe and Asia. I worked in private equity, corporate development, advertising, marketing and business development in Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York. (Great life, I know)

My value-add to a founding team is a unique combination of experience and curiosity that helps me solve problems and make connections of people and ideas.

As an Advisor

One of the greatest honors is advising founders and startup teams.

I bring diverse experience both as 3-time founder and as entrepreneur-in-residence for a Fortune 50 company where I worked with over 40 venture-funded startups. My business philosophy is simple (money is the dilithium crystal you seek) and my advice is affirming but frank (no sugar coating).
