Key Accomplishments

I dropped out of college to start my first company, a custom website agency. Which led to a customer that wanted to take a prototype I built and turn it into a start up. After 4 years with Zoto.com (an early web-based photo sharing and management site) I was lured into the enterprise via Boeing. After spending several years in larger companies, I've realized my biggest contributions will be found among smaller teams solving large problems. I enjoy the rapid iteration of small companies, and building up amazing teams. I've had several successful side projects dating back to the early 2000's. I wrote and maintained a statistics system for Return to Caste Wolfenstein as well as Call of Duty (both very popular multiplayer FPS games). I also wrote a very popular utility called Dwarf Therapist for the game Dwarf Fortress.

How I like to work with people
As an Advisor

I like to work with entrepreneurs that have solid plans to actually earn revenue, and help them build technical teams that can make those plans a reality. No VC-bait please.

Think Trey is awesome?
Vouch for them.

Simon Poile
We worked together at RealNetworks
Trey has led and started three engineering projects while working for me. He approaches each challenge with a healthy level of skepticism, q ... uestioning each point of proposal and looking ahead at potential pitfalls both technical and business. Once convinced, Trey applies equal tenacity bringing the project to launch being resourceful, pragmatic and a strong leader to his team.
Luke Janger
We worked together at Jobster
Trey is aggressive about working to realize his vision, and is energetic at building and motivating a team.
