Michael is a doer. He's talented at finding real market needs--something people actually want--and then quickly capitalizing on that opport ... unity to turn it into something real. He's done it with Survive the Streets, an important local charity that's low on froth and high on impact. He's also done it with Startup Grind, a monthly event that he's curated into one of the best in the city. The reason I mention these two projects is because they're what Michael has done in his spare time. Making a tangible impact on the world is Michael's *hobby.* One of the greatest needs in the startup world today are people with the ability to identify and cultivate ideas into market-winning opportunities. Too many technical teams are out there executing on ideas that have no future. Many are acting on insular belief, and some on hubris. But the wise ones will seek out people who have complimentary skill sets, namely, the ability to recognize the overlap of market insight and technical innovation to find market-winning opportunities. Michael is one of those guys. I fully expect to find him partnered up with talented engineers, and crushing it in very short order.
