Key Accomplishments

I have a long history of success in tech hiring and consulting. As a Data/Business Intelligence Consultant, I successfully positioned multiple client companies for $MM acquisition and/or new investment rounds. I've built multiple consulting firms in Chicago and Austin, and I've developed more client software than I can list.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

I would prefer to work with someone who has built a business before. I don't care if it was successful or not, as long as it was a full time effort.

I am looking for two types of people (or the holy grail of one person with both skills). I am technical, but would like another technical person to work with. I'm already pretty invested in a JS stack (node), so some experience there would be nice. I would also like to work with someone truly experienced in creating user experiences. This doesn't necessarily mean a designer. I'm talking about user research, design research, etc. While hands on skills are nice, I'm looking for higher level skills (i.e. strategy/planning) in a cofounder.

So far, I'm funding everything myself from proceeds of my last venture and consulting efforts. There is no immediate need for capital, and I'm confident in my ability to raise capital. That said, I would still consider working with someone who can bring financing or more finance experience to the team.

Overall, I'm looking to build a company we're all proud of and instrumental in building.

As an Advisor

We worked together
Corey has been an amazing friend, mentor, and boss during the many years I've known him. Incredibly driven and talented, with leadership sk ... ills to boot. He is constantly looking/moving forward in the technological realm.
Randy Janzen
We worked together at Ecor Group
Corey knows marketing, contracts, design, infrastructure, accounting oh yea and software development. He is the idea guy and the maker. Wh ... ile he can delegate when needed, don't expect that to be his default. He will attack and deliver.
Brian Moeskau
They're my current cofounder
Corey is an excellent technical cofounder who I've worked closely with for several years. He's well versed in a variety of technology langua ... ges and platforms, and also has a great sense for non-technical startup tasks including hiring and developing resources and operational tasks. I would recommend Corey as a cofounder without reservation.

Ahmed Moledina
We worked together
Corey has a lot of great ideas and is very detailed and analytical. I think those are some of the traits that a great entrepreneur needs.

Michael Armstrong
We worked together
Michael Armstrong is a serial entrepreneur with a track record of success. Michael, along with Brian Moeskau (Cofounder, Sencha) and I, cofo ... unded ThinkFirst, LLC together. Michael has a strong background in marketing (MBA), but he also understands the world of enterprise technology, as was demonstrated in our time working together. I liked Michael's drive to get things done, as well as his willingness to take on different tasks (even out of his comfort zone) that moved our business forward. Partnered with the right people, Michael will thrive and help his cofounders thrive.

Ahmed Moledina
We worked together
Ahmed is already a strong entrepreneneur with great business savvy and experience in the enterprise space. Before I knew him, he built a con ... sulting firm with 75+ people. I met him as he was doing it again, and we worked on some developing a joint venture together. He's also a fundraiser and networker. He'd be a great partner for a strong developer.

Renuka Rajan
They're my friends  •  Technical Account Manager, EndPlay, Inc.. Previously Manager Engineering, Nokia L&C.
I think Renu will make a great entrepreneur because she is driven and asks a lot of good/targeted questions. She's also personable and has a ... background in technology. I believe this great combination will help her and her cofounder(s) remain focused, aware, and motivated in their journey.

Renuka Rajan
They're my mentor
Renuka is an aspiring entrepreneur with great passion and an unwavering can do attitude. She has a strong background in technology with over ... 15 years of experience in software development and engineering management. She feels confident she can build off her background to develop her ideas. She is not just comfortable with uncertainty, but goes full steam ahead to embrace it to make it her ally. She is able to take calculated risks which she believes will pay off in the long run. She is looking for a great cofounder who will complement her skills with their courageous attitude and thirst to create something out of nothing.
