Key Accomplishments

Was Professor of Digital Media & Entrepreneurship and Arizona State University and help establish their entrepreneurship programs (winner of the President's award for innovation). As a serial entrepreneur, was a founder or part of the senior management team of a dozen successful startup ventures that collectively attracted over $250 million in private funding; created nearly a thousand new jobs; and launched dozens of innovative consumer, media and communications products that have exceeded $3 billion in revenues. Last year, founded Propel Arizona - a statewide crowdfunding initiative for growth entrepreneurship.

How I like to work with people
As an Advisor

1. Initial contact - email ... let me know what you are doing, what 'space' you are in, and what you are wanting from an advisor -so we can determine if I'm the right person to advise you.

2. Initial phone call, Skype/G+ chat. To discuss and determine if you just need one-time advice, or a longer term advisor. And to further determine fit.

3. Advisory Board (or similar) relationship. Then we'll email, chat or meet as-needed (usually a few times per quarter). Usually for token stock or options.

4. if more-in depth advisory, help required, or hands-on required - then this usually more of a paid consulting relationship - and completely different. I am willing to discuss, but this is rare.

Marius Ciocirlan
We worked together
This might sound cheesy but CJ is one of the smartest people I know. He was one of the first advisors on my first start up and I can honestl ... y say that I learned more from him than I ever did in college. He is full of knowledge and is very reliable. He went beyond the duty of just an advisor he met with me 3-4 times a week for 1-3 hours every-time. He did this not for any financial gain but rather because he believed in me and he is insanely passionate about the startup world. He would make a great entrepreneur because he is a genius, dedicated and just overall a really nice guy that I would personally work with again any day.
