Key Accomplishments

Built Context Optional from concept to product to profitability to exit without a Series A. I have a strong tech background but am equally comfortable with product, building teams, architecture, and a million other roles. I tend to actively avoid doing things the way other people seem to be doing them.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

My first cofounder and I barely knew each other when we started and we survived it all and became close friends. I think that's due to the mutual respect we had for each other's opinions and our ability to disagree productively.

As an Advisor

I provide frank, often contrarian advice. Always given with a dash of "... but you really shouldn't listen to me and should do what you think is right."

Becky Cruze
They're my investor
As an early-stage investor, Scott brought much more to the table than just capital. He became a mentor, offering advice and moral support ro ... oted in his own experiences as an entrepreneur. Scott was a real asset to our team, and I would highly recommend him as an advisor to other startups.
Jessica Alter
They're my friends  •  Founder and CEO, FounderDating. Harvard Business School grad. University of Michigan grad.
Scott's an amazing entrepreneur - thoughtful, curious and driven.
Toli Kuznets
They're my school  •  Senior Director of Engineering, Marin Software. Previously Director of Engineering, Marin Software. Stanford grad. Stanford grad.
Scott and I went to Stanford together, and I've worked at a few companies with him, and consulted for his startup Context Optional. Scott d ... id a great job bootstrapping and steering his company to success despite all the naysayers, and he's done a great job building a team and executing on his vision. Scott has great ideas and understanding of how to run a company.
Kevin Barenblat
We worked together at SpotDJ  •  Founder, Fast Forward and Investor / Advisor, Investor / Advisor. Harvard Business School grad. Stanford grad.
Scott is the best cofounder ever. He's a technical genius, an amazing writer, and has a great sense of humor. You'd be incredibly lucky to ... snag him as a cofounder.

Toli Kuznets
We worked together  •  Senior Director of Engineering, Marin Software. Previously Director of Engineering, Marin Software. Stanford grad. Stanford grad.
Toli is one of the hardest working people I know. Also one of the funniest.

Joe Chang
They're my friends  •  Previously Co-Founder and CTO, Marin Software. Previously Vice President of Engineering, Marin Software. Stanford grad.
Joe built Marin from a prototype to a public company, deftly handing the challenges along the way. His rational approach eschews trendy buzz ... words for strong core software engineering.

Akshay Rangnekar
We worked together  •  CTO-For-Hire at YComplex. Founder and CTO, full-stack engineer. Previously McKinsey & Co. LBS MBA. Stanford Computer Science.
