Maxfield & Oberton is the company I started to make/market/distribute Buckyballs (www.GetBuckyballs.com), The Amazing Magnetic Desktoy You Can't Put Down!

The company was founded in 2009 with a $2K investment. In 2011, it did just shy of $20M in sales, without ever raising or borrowing additional funds. The product is now a top seller in 10,000 US accounts and is sold in 6 other countries.

Prior to that I consulted for a variety of companies (start-ups and Fortune 500s) on alternative and buzz marketing strategies.

Having recently left the day to day operations of Maxfield to start or invest (at an angel or seed level) in something new, I am fairly open to whatever comes my way. I have ideas for what my next venture should be - I am very interested in websites and apps that facilitate offline experiences - but I am open to committing myself to any project that gets my attention and/or can leverage my skills.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

- I'd like to believe I'm one of the world's best marketers.
- I am well connected in the New York VC / Start-up scene.
- I know what properly boot-strapping a business looks-like and am fairly good at managing cash-flow in a way that few funded ventures could understand.
- Lastly, having a run a manufacturing company at the level at which I have, I have the know-how to bring a physical product to market, build a sales team to get it into retail, and grow consumer demand to make sure it gets off shelves.
