Key Accomplishments

For the last 7 years, I've been successful as a freelance developer, consultant, and architect for both startups and enterprise projects, primarily in the Rails/Javascript tech stack.

While I failed at a startup in 2014, I learned a tremendous amount: about doing a startup and cofounders.
Most importantly, I learned Elixir and Erlang, for which I am now a passionate advocate.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

I think the key word is collaboratively.

As an Advisor

collaboratively.

They're my friends
Doug is an engineer that knows how to get stuff done. He's intelligent and good at working alone or in a team. Professional, hard-working, ... and he's always learning something new and growing his skills.
David Vydra

We worked together
When it comes to Ruby on Rails (and related technologies like Javascript), Doug Goldie is the professor. He is my go-to guy whenever I have ... really tough programming questions. He has (and has read) the best technical library of anyone I can imagine, and I think he has seen every single RailsCast. Doug stays current and knows a wide range of APIs, plug-ins, and gems. It seems like he is either presenting to or attending Meetups, hackathons, Rails conventions, etc. almost every week. He is also incredibly helpful and generous with his time. Overall, Doug is a great set of eyes to have on any code project.
Nick Cawthon
We worked together
Doug constantly re-invents himself and his code stack, able to learn any new technology very quickly.
Dan Bikle
