Key Accomplishments

Biomatica, my current effort is an innovative machine learning bioinformatics startup. We have identified a significant opportunity in the market in pharma industry and are in conversations with possible industry collaborators. We will be looking for an engineer to join us in the near term as well as funding by grants or venture capital.

I've been involved in the DiyBio movement, being a member of BioCurious in Sunnyvale, CA as well as eastbay DiyBio. Recently my partners and I have opened a Biotech accelerator, Berkeley Biolabs.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

2 years into the startup process and its going well - we are writing grants with industry collaborators and are in discussion with top market customers. I've navigated product conception, specification, second round implementation and presenting the product successfully to investors as well as customers.

Berkeley Biolabs opened doors at the end of Jan 2014. Already bringing companies in to work in the lab.

As an Advisor

Available for Biotech startup consulting. I have a good network of talented biotech veterans who can take your idea into a company.

Ron is very knowledgeable in the field, understands how to establish AND achieve goals, and has exceptional managerial and people skills.

Safa Sadeghpour
6 yrs @ McKinsey&Co in healthcare and technology. Founder/advisor to multiple early stage biotech and tech companies. Tech hacker since 12.
Safa has always been an independent and forward looking thinker. While his resume tends to speak for itself, its perhaps useful to say that ... it will be hard to find someone with the breadth of experience, exposure to healthcare on every level of the industry as well as the ability to charm money from a stone.

Mike Lelivelt
Vice President of Product Lifecycle Management, Genomic Health. Previously Sr Director of Bioinformatics Products, Thermo Fisher Scientific.
