You Should Know About Me

Key Strengths

Saas • Java • Ruby on Rails • Distributed Systems • Agile Methodologies

Key Accomplishments

I've worked on enterprise and consumer software products. I've consulted and helped launch at least a dozen startups, including my own. I'm comfortable wearing many hats and can contribute on many aspects of building a business from engineering, to product, to marketing, to sales.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

Experience building a lot of products as an entrepreneur and a well rounded knowledge of all aspects of what it takes to find/build a business with my strengths being product and engineering.

I have knowledge in a bunch of different areas and can contribute to a conversation on most any topic related to building a business. I'm wearing the sales hat in the enterprise right now which has been enlightening.

My personality is outgoing, fun, and playful. I've been a stabilizing force on many teams because of my ability to be very technical but with the ability to make things fun which is the way it should be. Work is hard enough without making it a drag and never playing. In fact play is where all creativity comes from and brings teams to levels of execution they would've never otherwise seen.

That said I'm intense and incredibly disciplined when needed (without being a dick). I've built enough things to have a great sense of what works in terms of process, code quality, build/buy, etc. The days of NIH are long behind me but at the same time I realize that there's value in building and owning technology that's core to your business and gives you an advantage, which nowadays usually means you're more nimble.
