Key Accomplishments

Started off working in finance to be close to the money. In my last role, I was directly involved in cutting down the bank's asset base by $8 Billion, creating a new $12 Billion entity, and a few reorganizations. As a result of the initiatives I was involved in, we improved the ROE by 3%.

Prior to that, I did a co-op role in a private equity firm where I improved process efficiency for one of the portfolio companies.

My jobs were intellectually stimulating, but I found my roles lacking purpose, and the impact limited to the bank's bottom line. Since then, I've converted by establishing a startup.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

1. I don't give up - I've come this far alone, and I'm looking to couple this tenacity with someone else's.
2. Business Knowledge - I've worked hand in hand with executive management in my previous roles, and know the importance of dashboard driven execution. I've also been to business school.
3. Technical knowledge - I've programmed in both web and native languages. On the web, I use Ruby on Rails, HTML, Javascript and CSS. I've also got a degree in Mathematics.
4. Empathy - I take efforts to understand the customer's perspective, as opposed to pushing my view on them.
5. Team builder - I've built high performing teams in my prior roles, and know how to keep everyone together

They're my friends
Fahad is a driven, insightful person. He has a deep understanding of his market and is passionate about building the best product.
Mike Kirkup
They're my advisor
Fahad is driven to help local retailers solve the current set of problems they are encountering which is a trend that will accelerate in the ... next 5 years as online shopping changes the retail landscape. Although not the most popular startup area to focus on, Fahad has been very resourceful in working with local retailers and trying to match that with customer needs.
Rob McIntosh
They're my school
I worked with Fahad on a close knit team for 8 months and personally asked him to serve on several others with me, for the following reasons ... : When Fahad looks, he sees things others don't When Fahad listens, he hears things others don't And because of that, when Fahad moves he achieves things others can't The reason I would have Fahad on any team I am in is because he has an incredible ability to see what is REALLY happening and understand what motivates people. He is heavily analytical but doesn't lean on it like many quant-heads; he thinks big picture and uses the numbers as an engine, not a crutch. As someone who has worked in the startup world for a while I know that by the time you can prove an opportunity exists and know how big it is, it's already gone. For this reason I think Fahad possesses a very attractive balance of gut instinct and fact-based reasoning; he will not be fool hardy in his ventures but knows when it's time to take a leap.

Sundeep Gupta
We worked together  •  iOS developer with business experience and a strong UX focus.
Sundeep is a tenacious entrepreneur. He has demonstrated a pattern of doing what it takes, and is happy to roll up his sleeves. I've seen hi ... m do this with honing his development skills in areas that were out of his realm, in doing the leg work of talking to his customers, and in pushing sales. To top it off, he is a patient listener, and will be a great addition to teams that care about solving real business problems.
