Key Accomplishments

I'm good at driving the growth of innovative businesses at the intersection of healthcare, data, and technology. I've brought in the first dollar of revenue, and I've also closed key multi-million dollar deals paving the way to scale. I'm passionate about improving how healthcare is delivered, and in so doing making better care available to more people.

How I like to work with people As a Cofounder

In addition to a broad skill set, varied domain expertise, and entrepreneurial experience, I also bring leadership ability and a get it done attitude. With respect specifically to healthcare, I've worked with and sold to HR and benefits teams at companies ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands of members, as well as dozens of hospital and health care system CEOs, CMOs, CFOs, and other senior executives.

I would have selected lots more adjectives in the above category if the system had let me. James brings together a pretty rare combination ... of characteristics that mean he's a smart choice to look at when you are considering potential partners: He's got a very smart mind for business and quickly identifies where/how a business model is likely to will work, where it won't, and why. He's astute on the tech side of the business, can blueprint a product and talk to the engineers, even though he's not a coder himself. He's well connected and personable. Aside from having attributes that are likely to lead to commercial success, James is a good leader and partner. he has a high degree of self-awareness, which is critical in anew venture where you're gong to spend a lot of time together, have some heated discussions, and have to bring out the best in a lot of different people. I give James and unqualified endorsement.

James gets things done. In my experience, a successful entrepreneur can be defined by his or her "grit". And James has tons. Throw in a b ... ig brain, global experience, and a top level MBA, and he has the horsepower to execute on his drive. I would definitely include James in my next venture.

We worked together
He's always looking for the next thing, always trying a new start-up, always building. He's done this before, and I have no doubt he'll do ... it again.
