Think Kevin is awesome?
Vouch for them.
We worked together
I had the pleasure of working with Kevin for almost a decade. His ability to digest complicated information and come to a workable solution ...
quickly was extremely impressive. Since we concluded our business at the end of last year, I frequently find myself looking for an opportunity to interact with him again. I highly recommend him as an advisor, business associate and overall great guy. There is no doubt in my mind that working with him in any capacity will positively impact your life.
They're my school
Lead Minister, Bel Air United Methodist Church.
I have known Kevin for 39 years. Through that time, we have had regular conversations about leadership, strategy, creating change, developin ...
g and leading projects. His experience in local church leadership, business and coaching churches and leaders have given him a wide variety of learning opportunities. Kevin has had great success and also times of struggle and disappointment. He has been able to learn each of these. Kevin has been able to help me to see my situation in new perspective. He is regularly recommending articles and research that has helped me to overcome a challenge. He is a great writer and thinker. He has been able to admit when he is frustrated or wrong. He understands his gifts and is able to use them when needed. He has been a cheerleader when needed and also having frank conversations where he feels I am unable or unwilling to take a fresh look at my choices or perspective. He is a good listener and is looking for ways in which he can learn more too. I have had many coaches/advisors over the last 39 years and I feel that Kevin is one of the best.
We worked together
I am delighted to offer my recommendation of Dan whom I have known for almost ten years. As a denominational executive directing new church ...
start-up initiatives and serving on the national board of directors, chairing the leadership committee, Dan provided innovative network and web development solutions. Dan's tenacity and dedication provided services and solved unique problems to our multiple organizations. This resulted in our successful rolling out new websites that kept our constituencies connected. Dan was pro-active in suggesting solutions and when problems developed, he communicated to my staff useful information at the right time about issue resolution.
When my organization underwent a reorganization and merger, Dan offered creative solutions as we transferred the management of technology to other divisions and graciously renegotiated the service contracts. Dan Matthews is an innovative leader who has demonstrated his ability to improve systems and solve problems.
Allow me to offer one additional observation of Dan's start-up competency. As an educator, I teach social entrepreneurship and management and leadership. I emphasize to my undergrad and graduate students that doing is essential. Outcomes are critical.
While Dan has demonstrated what I observe as true sacrifice as he delivered services (which is often necessary to achieve worthwhile goals), the sacrifice itself is not the objective. Dan understands, as my best students do, that the focus of the entrepreneur is not just to change something, but to focus on the results we intend to produce. He did not just make easy suggestions with an eye one short term benefits, but actually helped drive our deeper thinking. In working with my my staff, I recall many occasions when he prodded us to consider if we "have solved the right problem." Asking these kinds of questions as he worked with us helped us deliver higher value to our clients and congregations. I know Dan certainly delivered high value to us, for which we remain grateful.
