How I like to work with people
As an Advisor

I'm very open and direct, and problem-solution oriented. I will only work with companies where I truly believe in their product/solution and team, since I typically help by also promoting the company. I won't chase after entrepreneurs, as that means they don't value a mentor's time. Ask for what you want -- politely -- and you're likely to get it. :) If you just want a contact, use LinkedIn.

I also strongly believe in Robert Suttons' The No Asshole Rule. For anyone wanting to contact me, I suggest starting there:

Shirin Escarcha

Michelle has played a major role in my personal and professional development as a recent startup enthusiast. She is an incredible mentor, go ... ing out of her way to provide the best possible connections, resources, and advice to ensure one is on the right track. I have also seen her work closely with numerous early stage startups that have enjoyed and benefited from her very personalized support. With her startup experience and management expertise, any entrepreneur would be fortunate to have Michelle as their advisor.

Kirk Hill
Assistant Dean, External Relations, Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University.
Kirk is an excellent connector and community builder.

POUYA AEIN
They're my professor  •  Co Founder, H&P Systems. Simon Fraser grad.
I had the opportunity to get to know Pouya Aein as his instructor and mentor in SFU's BUS406 course Startup Accelerator in the summer of 201 ... 5. Unlike most students in the class, who were required to take the course as part of their Technology Entrepreneurship program, Pouya chose to take this class as a summer elective, to help him grow his startup venture "H&P Systems". Pouya worked extremely hard over the summer, both taking courses and meeting with potential customers, channel partners, and getting legal counsel to build his start-up. Pouya's deep commitment to completing projects, his entrepreneurial spirit, and strong ability to learn would be an asset to any employer and I highly recommend him to those looking to grow the future talent base of their organization.
