The section above limited the number of categories I could list as Chuck's most helpful areas which really doesn't do Chuck justice because ... he's incredibly helpful across many aspects of the marketing and communications practice, and entrepreneurial ecosystem. At his core, Chuck is an amazingly talented (and professionally trained) journalist who can find and effectively tell anyone's story, whether it be an individual or an organization. After he hones in on the story, Chuck meticulously crafts the communications strategy which will best share that story with the people or organizations who need to hear it. While managing the overall strategy, he works with his team members to develop the tactical elements needed to execute on the strategy. In my experience working with Chuck, I saw him lead countless successful storytelling campaigns for deeply technical clients but I'm also keenly familiar with how Chuck used his storytelling expertise to build and run his own PR and social media agency which is not an easy task. He incorporated his passion for best-in-class coffee with well-planned and strategic communications when he and his co-founder launched Fresh Ground Communications, an award-winning PR agency. Many of Fresh Ground's clients stayed with the firm for multiple years--a rarity in the PR agency world. The clients stayed with Fresh Ground because of Chuck, his co-founder and the bright colleagues he hired to build Fresh Ground into a successful firm. More over, they stayed with his agency because of his entrepreneurial spirit--he could relate to the challenges and successes his clients were encountering-- and his steadfast commitment to delivering the best service and product he could. Chuck is a valuable asset to any team he joins (or builds) and frankly, I can't say enough good things about him.
