Scaling

Scaling is reducing or enlarging something without losing its original shape or proportions. In business, scaling is the reduction or enlargement of a design, plan, strategy or system such as a business plan or production system, without losing its effectiveness, structure and goals. Scaling is only possible on a system or design that has ‘scalability.’ For example, an organizational structure or computer network that is able to function optimally as the number of users increase or decrease has scalability.
