Is India the next big hub for disruptive startups?

Apparently more than 500,000 schools will offer innovation education programs that integrate with ongoing startup fests and pre-incubation training in India. In addition, some of the biggest VCs are establishing shop there. Are we looking at the next big hub that fosters entrepreneurship?

Yes, without question. It's not starting. It's just coming into the awareness of those asleep. The most important aspect is their cost effectiveness as compared to U.S. firms. ( I am sure I will some push-back here).

Sure will. We've talked with some entrepreneurs there, and overwhelmingly passionate to create something innovative.

We recently started a chapter of the Founder Institute in Chennai, India. At this point there are 125 chapters around the globe. Even though India is moving on the startup front, I am seeing almost every country make this part of their economic development strategy. We are really looking at the 'age of startups' around the globe.

With the population and programs like this it is almost impossible not to. I just wonder whether the regulatory environment will adapt to accommodate this growing group of entrepreneurs. I don't like the "disruptive" tag but most entrepreneurs aim to make commerce easier and faster while incumbents and regulators seem to want to keep the existing environment. This is not limited to India.

Sao Paulo, Brazil and Bangalore, India are both potential next hubs for disruptive startups.
