What are the challenges for integrating a Subscription Billing System into an enterprise?

Are their pain points with integrating into an existing CRM and ERP. Would also like to understand gaps that are currently not addressed by any of the readily available options.

OH MY GOODNESS! For our company this gap has been huge especially in enterprise. I did research and there is no out of the box customer facing recurring billing/subscription for enterprise customers. I have tweeted and sent tweets about it. Right now it looks like its Wufoo is the best option but Stripe and the other folks need development lift. If you solve it or find a lean solution I would love to be an early paying customer.

Good article Brent.

Most CRM (and some ERP) systems have APIs or Webhooks you can tap into to use SSO (Single Sign On) solutions. There are good platform providers out there like Recurly (mentioned in the article) but there are other standalone solutions that provide a bit more customization and flexibility. We've used Spark: spark.laravel.com -- $99, easy to setup--supports tons of different subscription type and variations.

Hi,
This is what my techies said

Stripe is suitable for online subscription management. Integrating the same with a web based ERP/CRM system should not be a big problem, provided the ERP vendors give provision to integrate.

BACS is another payment mechanism by which subscription billing can be automated. The enterprise application need not be web based but should be able to generate a list of all subscribers and their amounts due in a particular format in csv file.

Hope this helps.
