What is the best way to gain access to capital when you don't know any investors?

We have an unique product for Marketing & Advertising whereas we want to reach investors for investment. I have my fiancial forecast for 3 years. If we have 1Million installation of App and have 200 mix ads/month (image, offer, video) we can make $6M in first year. Increase of ads and app installation will increase Revenue thus impact on Net Profit too. Unfortunately I don't know any investors and CV accept on linkedin to whom I have added them. But I am afraid blind pitching to them will not be noticed rather it will create negative impact in CV markets. Give me advice what should I do to get a investor to invest in my project.

I am ready to give 30% share equity and investment amount can be recouped in 3 years time.

Need Advice Please

Get capital from friend and family and do a pilot project in which you are making some money.

It is extremely unlikely that you will get any investment without a pilot project because your financial forecast right now frankly lacks credibility. there is absolutely no reason to think that you can get 1 million installations or that you can get 200 ads/month. Also most investors at the seed stage care less about the three year project than the three month projection. What is the minimum capital that you need to generate a viable product, and what do you do if (as is likely) no one is interested in your product.

Investors are not very useful in starting companies. They are most interested once you've started a company and want to expand.

Find someone who has already raised money and get them to help you.

However, this sounds like it could be bootstrapped to me. Have you done the analysis to know that you MUST raise money?

You would need to be able to explain why your projections should be believed. That would be the first thing you would need to do. The easiest way to achieve that is to show the traction you already have.

To get in touch with an investor or VC, you will need to research who you think are good candidates. Your research will also lead you to understand how they might be approached.

The right way of reaching out to investors is by attending seminar and conferences related to your business. After listening to the speakers, it is also good to interact with them during the Q & A session. Make sure that you spend time till the end of the event, it can be even after the end of cocktail party or dinner. Don't pitch your idea to anyone you meet and don't promote, but interact with people around you and I'm certain one among the crowd would be an investor. Usually, people tend to stay away from anyone who comes for a conference to sell a product or a service. Nothing works better than an interaction. Good luck Zia. @ Zia-ur-rehman Khan
