Kickstarter vs. Indiegogo?

I am looking to raise financing for my hardware startup via crowdfunding. For that reason I rather keep this post anonymous... Currently looking at the platforms that are out there and Kickstarter and Indiegogo seam to be the leading players in the crowdfunding space. I wonder what are your thoughts on them and which one I should choose.

I wonder why anonymous? If you let the community know the name of your startup, we will be able to support your crowdfunding campaign.
My thoughts: Kickstarter gets a lot more coverage in the tech community, but depending on who your target audience is, this may be a positive or a negative for you.
On another note, I am launching a media channel (similar to NowThisFuture) that will go live in November. If your product is something cool that a regular person can relate to, we could make a video episode about it and publish it around the time when you need to attract more attention to your Kickstarter or Indigogo campaign.

Need a crowdfunding PR firm to plan a successful equity crowdfunding or Kickstarter, IndieGoGo campaign? 512-627-6622
Indiegogo and Kickstarter are about the same in terms of providing a good platform. Your success will really depend on what type of crowdfunding prep work you do ahead of time to build a social media and utilize PR to generate some news stories.

Indiegogo does have one advantage right now. They signed a contract with Arrow Electronics that will help hardware vendors develop their concept and even provide up to $1 million of startup capital via Indiegogo's new groundbreaking crowdfund-to-production service.
