What are some dumb questions you have been asked by investors?

Fundraising is one of the most important things to have in place in order to build a successful venture. I wonder what are some of the most dumb questions that you've heard in the process of raising a round of financing.

I don't find too many questions dumb, but I do find this often heard comment pretty frustrating:

"I don't get it. Of course, I don't get Facebook or Twitter either."

I disagree that fundraising is one of the most important things in place. Silicon Valley is littered with the carcasses of companies that could fundraise, but couldn't turn a profit...

I was asked by an investor once what was the difference between my company and another one operating in a completely unrelated sector... I was obviously in shock, but replied politely to keep the convo moving forward. I understood the type of value this investor could bring to the table at that point.

There are no dumb questions from potential investors, only unresponsive answers.

Carol: If you think that the investor questions are dumb, then your presentation is not clear, otherwise they would not ask them! Regards S

I need to fund raise for my project, but have found that to many other startups have very little insight as to how their company will be monetized.

Investors are very smart people, so if they ask a dumb question, it could show they are not interested in the idea/business, or sometimes it is just a test of founder personality/confidence etc
Could be something like "what is the weather like in your city etc"
