Who can help us integrate Zoho CRM & Zoho Projects into our company?

We internally committed to using Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects almost a year ago, but our implementation wasn't successful. We're looking for someone to help us get the platform setup and optimized for our Chicago-based audiovisual installation and service business.

Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences to share? Local to Chicago would be ideal, but it could be done remotely as well.

We use DropBox for Business and Microsoft Office365, mostly on Mac computers, iPhones & iPads, but some Windows PCs too. We have a RingCentral phone system that supposedly integrates with Zoho, but we haven't looked in to it.

We primarily want to use the solution to capture communications related to clients and by project. We would like to have the ability to keep people on top of project tasks, with reminders or triggers to prompt actions.

Hi Mike - I'm a Freelance Tech Strategy Consultant and I help companies research and determine the best fit for their companies in terms of cost, process and tools. I am currently helping a small company customize a complete PM system that utilizes OneNote for Meeting Management, SharePoint(and OneNote) for Document Control, and Tasks in a Box for Task/Project Management. I helped them with their RingCentral implementation a year and a half ago. CRM is next for them so I've done a bit of research in that area and feel like SalesForce or Dynamics CRM will probably be the best fit in terms of integration w Office365/Exchange. From what I learned, Zoho integrates well with Google Apps, not O365 so much. But I am always up for a challenge and know that various workarounds and SOPs and/or APIs can be used to integrate and facilitate if you are already well down the Zoho decision path. Hi Mike,

I recommend getting in contact with Jarett Burke from Innov8tek. They're a Chicagoan company familiar with Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects. They even used that as their own internal tools for several years before they migrated to Pipedrive/Teamwork. I can send over their contact info via a private message if interested.

Let me know,
Andrea

Hi Mike, I know a lot about Zoho and can help you... but, I have an idea. Would you consider hiring a team of University of Chicago MBA students to help you nail your CRM strategy this fall? I teach a class called the New Venture Lab. We match teams of MBA students with Chicago-area companies for a 10-week project and this could be a great project. As an experienced Zoho guy, I can direct the team along the way. The class starts in September (it meets on Saturdays). For more info and a client application go here: www.34701.org -Mike

Ask the person or team you're considering for this task how they would begin the work. The right answer is "map out your workflow and/or communications needs, including data storage and retrieval. " These implementations often fail because they don't go big enough or they don't seamlessly integrate with much-loved legacy tools.
