Shared offices space, hubs for early stage startup members in bay area?

Hi all,

working on an early stage startup, my partner and I are looking for a cool shared office space in the bay, where we could have a desk and hang out with others trying to start their own business. I would expect internet access, quiet rooms for phone calls, access to meeting rooms, etc..

Any experience/recommendation?

Hi Eric, Definitely check out WeWork ! Amazing community. I've been a WeWorker in various locations (in NYC) for over 2 years. Best, Cynthia

There are a couple of places to look:
1) Co-working spaces like:
- Rocket-Space.com
- Parisoma
- SomaCentral

2) websites that specialize in finding shared spaces like:
- 42floors.com

Good luck

Hi Eric,
One resource that people use is the hub. http://thehubsf.com/ It's a large shared space where many people are starting ventures. You don't get your own dedicated desk, however. You get an office address, other services, and always have an available desk to use, can sign up to use the board room and has all the other amenities you mentioned. I checked it out and there is great energy. With a membership, you can also travel to other cities where there are hubs. I think it particularly makes sense if you're not living in Bay Area but traveling. Also, checked out your profile around what you're hoping to accomplish and may have a contact for you in the fashion industry in SF. Best, Jess

There's quite a few spots:

The Hatchery/Hatch Today is really well run, and seems to have what you are looking for.

I spent about a year at Hatchery (on 2nd St; there's another one a few blocks down on Harrison). If you want quiet - bordering on isolation - then it's a great place. If you are just 1 or 2 people and want some other human interaction, not so great.

I'm a little biased because I used to run the space, but I HIGHLY recommend Parisoma. There's a great community of entrepreneurs and they do a ton of networking and tech events.

@Jessica -- did you meanhttp://bayarea.the-hub.net/space (coworking space) instead ofthehubsf.com (a hotel for students?)
