Where to find the standard American accent speaker/s?

We are working on a very innovative software/platform for language learning, more particularly exercising pronunciation and diction of the standard American English to start with before expanding to other languages.

Although our concept and technology is very innovative and can reduce time and cost associated with mastering pronunciation, we will still need to insert a pre-recorded video and audio exercises into it.

How would you go about finding the right person to record our exercises? (we can provide necessary exercise materials)
Are there some networks for such professionals?

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Asim, you should look for a professional voice over artist for audio portion. Maybe you can also discuss the video aspect of it once you find the right one. You can probably do yhe search on LinkedIn. I have a couple of names I could connect you to that I have used and worked with. A good place to start also is voices.com. I trust you will have budget for these sevices. If not, then the best way to go is have a fellow American friend, if you have any, who has a good voice tone to help you out :)

Contact Mothlab, they helped us with a similar software project that helped with pronunciations.

we used voice123.com to audition professional voice actors for the voiceover for our explainer video. http://voice123.com/ we posted a complete script for our 2 min. video and within 24 hrs we had upwards of 20 auditions. worked very well. you can search and preview different voice styles too. 80% were quite good. the hardest part was picking between the 5 best.

If you want a direct recommendation, I'd check out Stacy Lyn. She's done work for Discovery Channel, SiriusXM, CBS News, and many other jobs. Her voice is accent neutral and very articulate.

You can try a service like voicejungle.com or just search Google for voice talent and many other options come up. That way you can listen to samples and pick the one you like in your price range. Good luck with your project!

Hello Asim,

I actually do voiceover work myself, in addition to my business as a brand strategist, author and speaker! You can take a listen to my speaker reels on this page and see what you think! http://mariaross.com/acting-voiceover/

I could also bring in the production people needed to record, edit and prep any files in whatever formats you require.
