Is there a software or service that helps manage questions for live Q&A ?

I am planning to do live presentation to several thousand people and would like to have questions submitted during the online presentation so I can answer them at the end.

Problem is that I have limited time to be answering obscure questions that only one out of a thousand people wants to know. Is there something that will allow people submit their questions, search questions submitted by others and vote up questions that they also would like to know answer on, ext?

One of the easiest ways I've seen recently is to use Twitter with a specific, unique hashtag.

Then you can search the hashtag and see questions immediately.

Set up a subreddit for your presentation on Reddit. Give people the subreddit URL, and tell them to navigate to it during your presentation and keep the tab open.

Tell them that they can submit questions (even anonymously if they create a fake account), and vote on questions that they'd like to see answered. You could even give them a quick screenshot that shows them how if you feel they need hand holding.

Alternatively, give people a hashtag to use during your presentation and check Twitter during Q&A, or have someone check it then give you 'top' questions they feel are appropriate (in other words, have someone else filter the crap for you while you present).

At Google I/O, they use Google Moderator:

http://www.google.com/moderator/

It is build specifically to do this - people ask questions, and others can vote on them during the talk. At the end, the highest voted questions are the ones answered by the presenter.

The only challenge with this, is conference wifi.
