What's the best way to reach an audience of freelancers or agencies

We launched our product recently, and found it's ideal for freelancers and agencies (i.e. people who work with several clients in parallel), I'm looking for the best way to speak to these audiences, to gain some early users and start building a community in this space.

What would you suggest as ways to start build a following within those communities (freelancers, and agencies).

All of my freelancer friends are very active on Twitter. Also, try to find and be interviewed on some creative-aimed podcasts or consider sponsoring a few episodes (of said podcast).

You can get yourself featured in ProductHunt. I know of lot of freelancers who are very active on PH.

You can try to reach different Tech Blogs to cover your startup.

Can you share details or URL of your website?

You might want to reach out to co-working spaces such as WeWork (in many cities), ROC (in Santa Monica) and Bizhaus (in LA), and perhaps partner on discount memberships/subscriptions for their members. Sure, the url is xros.co

We were on ProductHunt and did well, and were also called "The Slack for Freelancers" by Fast Company ( goo.gl/YjrGvL ), but these were short term PR opportunities.

At this point, we're looking to really build a community with these audiences, and looking for where to begin these efforts in a way that will bring value to them.

Try communities such as inbound.org, growth hackerand all. They have huge digital marketing audience.

Reddit, product hunt and hacker news, are all great communities for discussing product, but they don't cater to digital marketing audience primarily.

Thanks @Riyaj, inbound, org looks great, when you said communities like those, do you know any other specific ones might be relevant for what I'm looking for? So far I was head down in building, so socializing suffered a bit...

Don't forget the professional groups on LinkedIn. There you can find the specific audiences across multiple industries and segments that you are seeking to connect with. Also check out the communties on Google+.

Thanks Michael, Google+ is actually a good point, I totally forgot they existed, but their groups are good.

Quibb is another such community, but they are really selective.

Quora is a great place to promote, by replying to relevant topics, you can attract a lot of eyeballs on your product.

Medium is a cool blogging platform that attracts lots of experts on growth and startup marketing. So you could try blogging or reposting your blogposts there. While you are at it, you can also read a lot of good posts on growth strategies there.

Good Luck!

HI!!

My site is still in development, but I believe it will be exactly what you need. We launched just last week and are currently in the process of building our freelancer database. We focus on American freelancers. If you are looking for community building, you can submit a guest post about what you do, create a profile and post announcements, or even participate in our forum. Again, we are brand-new and are restricted to American freelancers, those looking to hire them, and those looking to provide services for them.

Here is the site:
www.freelancingamerica.com

We also have a G+ group -- https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/112125382840327680718

And here is another active group: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/101576487245787716833

I'd love to discuss other ways we can help you reach your community development needs.
