What are some good examples of free tools used for marketing purposes?

I'm about to create a free tool that provides value to a target audience... and I think I've got pretty good distribution for the tool as well. It's in an online calculator/chart model - not a million miles away from a mortgage calculator except for a b2b domain. Does anyone have examples of free online tools that are particularly well done? Am looking a bit for UI ideas but mostly for how branding and any calls to action are incorporated so we have an opportunity to stay engaged with user.

Mike, some more details about the domain would help. Online mortgage calculator, for example doesn't help a lot in converting B2B. I am not a salesforce user but I am guessing there might be something there that you find useful.

This is a tool created by HubSpot that will analyze "how strong your web site" is in several different areas. It requires an email to get results, plus they get data on what sites people are getting info on.

Hey Shobhit... it's actually for food manufacturers to evaluate tax effects of donations vs. liquidation revenue. There are some arcane-ish federal tax laws that result in certain sweet spots where food bank donations may actually yield a superior economic outcome to the normal liquidation sale. The idea is to provide an interactive charting tool that highlights this and get manufacturers thinking more aggressively about donations. There are multiple reasons why the company wants to create this tool (that I can't get into here) and I think there could be a follow-up tax-oriented white paper delivered to those that enter their email address.

Thanks Emily. I'll put that on the list.

Ok. Cant think of specific examples, but do try to make them interactive by using jxgraph library.

example one of them -http://jsxgraph.uni-bayreuth.de/wiki/index.php/Three_touching_circles

I have used toggl for time tracking and liked it, though it is more like a freemium. I also saw that leanstack.com has something to create the Lean canvas. it is not pretty UI but functional. In my previous startup, we have created a "Brand Value Checker" where you enter a social media account and give us email to get a report on the value of your social media ecosystem.
