Jumpstarting Kickstarter Funding - What's Your Secret?

What's the best method you've used to jumpstart funding on Kickstarter? Just launched Scriball on it. Thanks.

If you already launched, this might be a tad late... BUT... here's a link to a pretty incredible post from someone who raised 100k on Kickstarter in 10 days. It's his whole game plan, strategy, the e-mails he used. Real nitty gritty.

Should be spending 12--15k on a 3 month PR campaign to drive people there.

I totally agree with Blake West, my friend actually was on the founding team at Soma and worked on the Kickstarter. He also developed a chrome app for Kickstarter you should download. And yeah a lot of the work is all prework I'm afraid, But since you are live, if you haven't hired any interns/marketing help yet do so. I hired two interns for my kickstarter who helped try to get publications andarticlesabout my kickstarter, paying them based on commission, higher the page rank, higher the payout. See if you have connections via Linkedin and Facebook graphs to anyone at Kickstarter, if you can get it in the editors pick you will be golden. Your first 10 days are critical, follow everyone who works at Kickstarter on Twitter. Good luck!
