I'm thinking to move my startup to Silicon Valley...

Hi, I'm new to this community and it's my first topic here...
So, I'm working to a product, it's a hardware product with a strong server-side component. The target market is US, Canada & UK. We are a team of 5 people, we have a physical prototype and now we are chasing investors to continue the development and jump to production in the next 6-8 months. We are based in Europe, Romania.

So, my question is: do you think is a good idea to move in Valley for few months? I'm talking just about me, I want to keep the CTO and development team in Romania because of associated costs.
Or is a better idea Dublin/Ireland?
Any advice? Any related or similar experience?
Thanks a lot,
Bogdan

Bogdan,
It's not clear from your post how you are expecting to benefit from being in the Valley, but if you think you would and are able to, you should absolutely come. Meet as many people as you can and see the dragon's lair from the inside.

I assume you want to work on customer development, marketing etc. here? Get inspired by what other companies are doing? I would always make the trip, it helped me a great bid.

Be careful about visas, USA is not an easy place to get in. A B1 visa should be fairly easy to get, allows you do to business development and marketing etc.
