We are creating a travel suggestion app, how would you lure travel bloggers, to make it community?

The app analyzes the instagram and twitter feeds in real time, find where people are happy (sentiment analyses is already there, pic analyses is coming) and created Trending Places.

However it is all good, but lacks human touch, how would you lure travel bloggers to participate?

If anybody wants to the the site, I am happy to send a link, I am afraid to give it here will be against rules.

Hey Stan,

Have you tried contacting travel bloggers? I'd advise that you give them an incentive/trade-off to use your app & I'm sure you could come to an agreement. Hope that helped!

Tried. Results were.... disappointing.

The reason maybe that I can not give a lot of incentive moneywise, the model is freemium. From the user perspective it is very interesting to see what is going right now or see the recent trends (we have some delay when sentiment is accumulated, but otherwise it is very real time, Lollapalooza for example was catched in an hour). But I am still trying to figure out what would it be for the blogger.

Hey Stan,
For Freemium, You can target some newbie blogger, they can help you or you can also connect them on blogging marketplace.

I can't say much about bloggers, but it really depends on what kind of data moderation you're looking for. I'm working on a data driven travel product as well, if you want to swap experiences ;)

That is a question of a chicken and an egg. I have to get few bloggers first to understand what they might want. And bloggers need that something first to get to the platform.

Ideally, it is kinda a mix between nomadlist.com and detour.com(I have no affiliation with any). Except the model is not based on the bloggers interaction alone, the Trends are generated automatically. And more users are looking at them, the more accurate Trends come to be.

So it is just feeling, the Trends are good, but I am aiming at community. Alas, it is not at the moment
