Who are female-friendly investors, Angels and VCs?

X
I saw the question about investors to stay away from and it got me thinking, who are the investors that are female-friendly? Not looking for any negative answers here, just curious who people have had good relationships and experiences with? Entire firms, individual angels, or VC suggestions welcome. Ideally, you've had first-hand experience, not just heard.

Aileen Lee of Cowboy Ventures is doing interesting things: http://cowboy.vc.

What's probably more relevant than the gender of the VC is finding the people who have funded companies similar to yours. Crunchbase isthetool for that:https://www.crunchbase.com

The Founder's Network is a great resource, too. A guy who went to Stanford asked me why I was a member of FN. When He realized that as a Stnford alum, he already had a network and didn't need FN. But for me, Founder's Network eventshaveintroduced me to a number of VCs, including some great women: http://www.foundersnetwork.com

Check out Shruti Ghandi. I went to school with her, and she's very bright technically and streetwise. http://www.svod.org/shruti-gandhi/ Don't bank on an investment based on your gender. She focuses on B2B services, and will only make investments in virtuous companies. That said, if you haven't read Lean In, do it. It's a great book. One of many recent publications that shed light on how we're all biased, sometimes against ourselves.

The Womens StartUp Lab in Sillicon Valley seems pretty woman friendly :) CFhttp://www.bbc.com/capital/story/20150803-welcome-to-the-girls-club.

Women receive less VC money, yes, but we also realize the issues inherent in VC monies; takeover risk to less of an equity stake. A panel last week with two women co-founders of growing companies beyond $5M per year comes to mind.

I second Pipeline as we are funded by Pipeline in Boston and it's a great network that wants to work for the Founder to think through challenges.

Thank you,
Helen
