How can I find data partners in the food industry?

I'm developing a concept to help operators in the food and beverages industry (restaurants and coffee shops) and even though we have an amazing response from people working in multi-unit organizations, we can't find a multi-unit organization that partners with us by providing data to train our (big data) model.

By data I mean POS closed transactions.

I am not looking for funding and not seek to charge for the analysis I am going to provide to the owner of the data.

Thing is, I cannot find organizations interested in partnering with us to develop the model and get the benefit for free!

Does anyone know any resources for this? Has anyone been in a comparable situation and solved it? How?

When you say "food industry" and "multi-unit" are you talking about restaurants? I know quite a bit about this sector. If it's about the food processing industry, I can't help you that much.

Hi Lucas,
Also happy to help as I run a food company and know the industry well, but need more details about the types of data field you're looking for to see whether I can connect you with the appropriate party.
Happy to chat via phone - probably most productive that way.
Let me know if you'd like to connect.
Cheers,
Katherine

Richard - Good question. Yes, I mean restaurants and coffee shops. The solution was born from talking to multi-unit operators with more than 50 locations. They could be emerging brads, franchisees with multiple locations and brands, and also large brands with corporate-owned locations.

Katherine - Yes, I'd like to connect and discuss more over the phone. I sent you a PM.

Thank you both!

what kind of data? farm? ingredients? food service? branded grocery? what is a "multi-unit organization" ? My company, Buyer's Best Friend , is a large aggregator of data about packaged grocery products, although we make our money sourcing and delivering snacks to bay area tech companies . best wishes, adam Adam Sah Founder/CEO, Buyer's Best Friend, bbfdirect.com The leading source for specialty and artisan products

Luca,

If I knew more about what you are trying to do maybe I can be of some assistance. I know the multi-location retail and restaurant market extremely well (especially the 50-100+ unit segment) having sold data analytics into that sector over the past 10 years. Feel free to reach out to me.
