Hosting a board meeting across the globe, what dial in conference call service would you recommend?

I am hosting a board meeting, some people need to dial in as they are on holiday or reside in a place where internet is intermittent. What dial-in conference call facilities is reliable and inexpensive (or free) you have used?

If internet is intermittent then you probably want to use WebEx and have them dial in by land line

Thanks everyone for the recommendations! I will look into both Uberconference and WebEx (which I had used before I think the free version only allows me to invite 2 other people)

Any other advise on hosting such a meeting is welcomed!

hi Victoria; My current favorite is zoom.us: it has Mac/Win/Linux/iOS/Android versions, audio dialin, video + screen sharing, free plans, its reliable and has easy setup. You didnt specify which countries people would calling from, but https://zoom.us/zoomconference covers most I can think of. Adobe Connect is close second. Skype is great for one-on-ones but I hit bandwith problems when doing group video so it may/maynot be good for the situation you describe. To be explicit, I do not work for any of those companies - my opinion is just based on ~17 years experience working in distributed teams. "Remote working" tools change all the time, so for other more detailed info, have a look at the slides I posted on my blog: http://oduinn.com/blog/2015/04/21/we-are-all-remoties-apr2015-edition/ ...or just email me if you have further questions. Hope that helps. John.

Hi Spokey, How did you find that? (what exactly did you google?) Very interesting - as I made up that word.. due to limited domain names available that sounds like k'saah Thanks - this will help me think thoroughly before I rebrand. I suggest that you use zoom.us. It basically offers the same functionality as webex, including HD video and phone links, screen sharing and at a fraction of the cost. Have used for last 2 years and has been great.

Hope this helps!

I've heard some good things about Skype for Business recently as well. I need to take it for a test drive myself.

Hi Victoria,

I just googled kissaah - It's just that there's a typo in your meta data you probably want to fix.
