FounderDating events for existing members?

Right now I'm just "working" on various parts of my business and occasionally would like to meet up with other Founders and socialize (without an agenda) I also have needs for people to help in areas where I am not as much of an expert (sales, marketing, graphic design, etc). These relationships might not be "founders" but they could be mutually valuable.

The FounderDating website itself is great for setting up 1-1 connections, but it'd be good if there were FounderDating "meetups" where we could just meet up, have a drink, commiserate on our latest entrepreneurial challenges, etc.

Just thought I would bring up this idea in case others are looking for similar things.

Awesome idea Douglas, im in Bay area and would love to meetup with other founders and see whats going on, without an Agenda. If anyone is in the Bay area and wants to start getting together biweekly or monthly let me know and I can put something together. If we can get 5 people at the first meeting i'll take on setting it up.

I've also been wondering about this. I'd love the opportunity to interact with FD members o some sort of regular (or irregular) basis.

I second this idea. I sometimes attend one of those entrepreneur/co-founder events (organized by other networks) just to give myself a break. I'd be happy to join other FD members as long as the drive isn't too bad. I am based in San Jose and don't mind anywhere in South Bay or Peninsula.

check nReduce.com, a virtual incubator. This is exactly what they do - connect local teams together and promote collaborative approach to a product/idea development

I'm not dating anymore -- have a team of cofounders, building product, talking to potential customers and investors, etc. -- but would love this, as well. There are a lot of meet-ups in NYC for Lean Start-ups, Enterprise Tech Start-ups, etc. But something a bit more intimate and more focused on common issues and problem solving would be great. These tend to be more random, large-group events.

+1 for a bay area meetup.

Maybe the approach to take is for someone to just create an event (on Eventbrite for e.g.) and advertise it on the list?
