Does Big Commerce or Return Path have better outcome potential for employees?

Just curious for a friend (really), when considering working for either of these companies, which one looks like a brighter prospect assuming the jobs and pay were the same? Assuming they both IPO around the same time, which one has a better potential for success and return on investment?

I have no clue about the IPO prospects but Return Path's CEO has done some amazing writing and seems to have really tried to create a great company culture.

Honestly, this doesn't really make sense. First, no one has an insider knowledge about real IPO prospects. Second and most importantly, for an individual making money off stock is: that the difference between their exercise price and sale stock price * # of shares (in simplest terms). No one here knows the exercise price, the price they will go out at or the # of shares your friend is getting. That said, entering a company that has raised $100M+ usually doesn't get you a life changing amount of money unless you're very senior - risk/reward.
