When does a company need to hire a dedicated data analyst?

At what point would a company benefit from the data manipulation skills offered by a dedicated analyst?

Hi David from across the Potomac. Given that I run a data company I feel somewhat qualified to answer this. We put together a whole set of metrics regarding our systems. It's arduous, long, painful, and tiring to set up said system. I know that as soon as funding rolls in, I would prefer they do all the setup of new CPU's, managing alerts within our system, and maximizing the numbers that drive our profit. We generate all our data in-house, but if you have an existing database you've spent more than $10,000 on, perhaps it's worthwhile to explore a dedicated analyst who is flexible to a contract->hire role. What is the ROI of exploiting a database, what's the risk of a particular hiring strategy? Those sound like your two questions.
