What's the right compensation for a VP of engineering at a seed stage company (~$750k invested)?

We're shortly planning to raise a seed round of about $750k and are hiring a VP of engineering and a technical advisor.

Where might I find data on typical equity and salary compensation for seed stage companies?

It's not free, but I've found Venture Assembly to be really useful:

BTW, $750k is low. Most Angels are looking to put in $1-$3 million witha $10-$30 mil payout in 3 years.

Round A is looking to put in $10-30 mil. and Round B $50-$100mil.

The problem with $750k if you are HIRING staff, $750k won't get you far. You will be going back to the well very quickly and the initial investor will see their investment diluted rather than bought out.
