Recommend Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) insurance vendor for software developer?

I have a software subcontract that requires I get Professional Liability insurance (Errors and Omissions). Can anyone recommend a vendor that offers this product for a software development, Saas and consulting company?

John,

As a broker working with quite a few software/SAAS clients, a few insurance companies that I see play well in this space are Chubb, CFC and CNA. They usually offer good terms to software/consulting firms and cover all the bases inherent in third party contracts such as the one you are describing.

If you could use some help on this, consider my hat thrown in the ring.

I've used techinsurance.com as a broker. I had to get an E&O policy as a requirement of a partnership with Verizon and this is who they recommended to me.

I used hiscox.com http://www.hiscox.com/small-business-insurance/errors-and-omissions-insurance/

I called several places and many of them seem to be reselling hiscox policies. So, I went direct to them. Easy to work with. Lots of forms to read through.

Most insurance companies offer this. Your regular auto/home insurer probably does and you may get a better deal since you're buying more from them.

Our company is just starting out, but we automatically recommend what insurance you should consider based on your business attributes. We can't yet underwrite the policies (still working on that), but at least you'll know what coverage you need (and why).
