Recommendations for great & affordable marketing companies for a small business

I'm looking for a great & affordable marketing company who will work on my site mainly to promote it and manage it in a way to track progress and show results with analytics and social media and all. There's a lot of companies out there but I don't know which one to go to. I don't know who to trust that will do the work correctly. Do you know or work with a company that's going to show results?

Anto, I know of a gentleman in SF who fits this bill perfectly. His name is Clark Andres, has a good body of work (and successful). You should reach out to him and tell him I gave you his name. His email address is [removed to protect privacy] Best, George Parrish

There are many points to consider, the first being industry experience. Contrary to what agencies will tell you, experience counts in targeting the buyer or influencer persona you seek. B2C firms have different skills than B2B ... these skills are converging, but, in the social media world, your message is different.

Hello.
Couple of points to consider:

1) Most of our clients require a CMS platform to manage the content of their site themselves which reduces ongoing costs. So ensure whoever you choose offers this.

2) ensure the site is modular - meaning as your business grows and becomes more sophisticated then so to can your site - without having to rebuild, you simply add in the extra module(s) like ecommerce or client access portals etc.

3) get exposure to se good, working and live websites that the agency has built. Like these by us:

www.corso3.com
www.shireleasing.co.uk
www.rapidclimatecontrol.com

4) the site needs to be responsive for mobile and tablet devises to make sure everyone gets a good experience.

Good luck. If you'd like to find out more about Catalyst you can go here: www.wearecatalyst.co.uk

Regards,

Joe

Thank you all for your replies. My website is mavastyle.com. Can you tell me if there's something wrong with this site and what you can do to make it better?

Anto, I just did a quick review. I wouldn't say there is anything "wrong" with it. The layout and artwork has been tastefully done and looks nice. It did take a while to load, and the timing is a bit too fast (for me) of the images on the top banner. Your challenge is to get visitors, which today, means building your digital footprint. I clicked on your blog link, and I see the last post was back in April when the site went live ... not inviting nor indicative of much traffic. Next, I looked at your twitter stream, and it looks too "salesy" pitching your products, vs being helpful for me to find other, related products / services / gift ideas / ways to do things with jewelry / etc. that I, as a prospective customer, might be interested in.
