Startup lawyers in NJ/NY?

Anyone have suggestions for startup lawyers in the NJ/NY area? I need some legal advice about a Delaware LLC--does that mean I need to talk to a lawyer in DE?

We're using Fenwick and West. Also deferred fees, no issues, they are good.

I use Rubsun at Cognition http://cognitionllp.com/

They have helped out a lot of startups.

Is it considered "Typical" for firms to defer fees until a round is complete?

Thanks

It is common. Definitely something to ask for when negotiating with your
lawyer.

Usually. In some cases it helps if someone vouches for you. For instance an advisor to your startup who had been law firm's client. We use WSGR with fees deferred.

Hi Sabrina - you don't need to talk to a DE attorney for DE-related
incorporation/LLC questions, as a CA lawyer I do so all the time, as do
other attorneys.  Best to find an attorney who understands your business
and startups, and who you connect with.

Best regards,
Eric

Though Peerbelt is physically in NJ, it is a DE corp with company lawyer Wilson Sonsini in Palo Alto.
Pretty happy with the service provided. Let me know if I can be of further help referring you to one of my contacts at WSGR.
Cheers,
