Suggestions on building a user dashboard from Google Analytics data using Ruby on Rails?

We are a video site, trying to provide our content providers with basic Google Analytics data (video views, page views, completion percentage, etc.) Our backend is Ruby on Rails. GA's API is vast, and we're looking for best practices on how to pull this data over in an efficient manner. Anyone have experience in this area?

Perhaps you might be interested in collaborating. I've got a product called Pixall which can easily parse/segment for the information while displaying in an infogrpahics like front end.

This might save you some time in bilding it from scratch.
