Real world advertising companies for Website?

I have a website and would like to advertise in the real world, perhaps radio (but other non-TV methods as well). Does anyone have any companies that can advertise in this manner? I am a very small "company" and most PR/Advertising companies won't even give me a blink.

The website is high-school sports related.

I'm located in Colorado, so I would prefer local, but the website target is national, so any USA company would probably be fine.

Michael,

... not sure if you're looking for firms that will allow you to advertise, or how to pull it off on a dime, and get the attention of companies in general. Go direct. If the latter is the case, you might find this article from Tim Ferriss quite helpful: http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2009/02/19/jedi-mind-tricks-how-to-get-250000-of-advertising-for-10000/

Cheers,

Michael,

Are you looking for an ad agency or are you looking to advertise your business on a website?

I work in sponsorship for 2 NPR affiliate stations in Seattle, and can't recommend it highly enough -- if you're looking to directly advertise, you can contact your local public radio station and ask about web and on-air options. It's a lot less aggressive than most avenues and is one of the few places I would recommend.

Best,
Sarah Harmon
