Where have founders found their Marketing / Growth Hacking people??

Does anyone know any good resources for finding experienced Marketing/Growth Hacking startup people... NOT agencies, but actual people!

I'm looking for a "Dribbble for Marketers" type of site.

Yes, I'm using LinkedIn and all the typical networking/recruiting channels, but if anyone can recommend some alternative sites/resources for finding these great startup marketing minds, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi ,

I would suggest that the founder is the marketing/growth hacker person!

Unless you can pay someone else or bring them on with good equity I doubt anyone would be interested.

No resources out there that I know of, try listing it as a position on Angel list

Hi Neil,
Yes, I plan to pay someone... and give them equity. And I have listed on Angel List.
Thx.

this is a good site though don't think they have a place to hire growth hackers yet (but this is where they hang out)

This site has been a boon to many:

https://clarity.fm/

There are very prominent growth hackers on there who will take your call, give you advice, and steer you in the right direction. Some are pricy (they charge per minute, I believe), so it's best to have very specific, succinct questions already planned out prior to call.

Sean Ellis and many other greats are on there, as well as up-and-coming scrappers who have raw talent are making names for themselves.

Growth hackers (and this term for internet marketers is hotly debated) are hard to find, and the good ones are usually either consulting for venture-backed startups and established firms, or are doing their own thing.

I wish you luck! :)

Neil, I see this conversation was started back in 2014, curious to hear how your growth hacking search and following experiments have gone?
