Kauffman Fellows is an elite program in Silicon Valley originally started with funding from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. Each year a class of 30 is admitted and the program lasts two years. Fellows pay tuition rather than receiving capital, and spend their time as sponsored apprentices at VC firms. It is considered a "venture education" program.
